AmeriCorps Would you like to make a difference in our community by serving SCHFH full-time through AmeriCorps for one year?
Recruitment is open for Sussex County Habitat for Humanity's third year as an AmeriCorps host site. SCHFH's AmeriCorps program consists of ten positions, with members serving on the build site, in our ReStore, and in the office - coordinating volunteers, developing youth programs, and designing marketing and promotional materials for the affiliate, the ReStore, and a new program called A Brush With Kindness*. Each service year begins on October 1st and ends September 30 of the following year.

As an AmeriCorps member, you'll gain new skills and experiences and you'll also find the tremendous satisfaction that comes from helping others. In addition, full-time members who complete their service earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $4,725 to pay for college, graduate school, or to pay back qualified student loans; members who serve part-time receive a partial Award. SCHFH will also offer a monthly stipend, health & dental insurance and housing. The monthly stipend will total $11,400 for the year.

This year’s term is underway, but SCHFH is currently recruiting for members who will begin next October.
SCHFH will provide training in all positions. What is most important is that you have a desire to serve the community and the willingness to support Habitat's mission.
