The Sussex County Habitat For Humanity ReStore needs your donations.........Especially needed are guaranteed working appliances ( 10 years or less), cabinets (kitchen or other),  doors, double hung windows,  and some building or remodeling material that is in good shape. We also accept furniture in good condition. Recycling through the ReStore will save you dumping costs and may provide a tax deduction as well. Equally important, your donations will remain in the  community to help people who are upgrading their homes. The ReStore RESELLS your new or used items well below retail prices. All operating profits from ReStore sales go into Habitat's building program, helping provide simple, decent, and affordable housing for local families. Donation guidelines are strict. Appliances must be 10 years old or less and in guaranteed 100% working order. Ranges and Refridgerators MUST have their final cleaning. Dishwashers & HVACs must be 5 years old or younger. Hot water tanks must be 3 years old or younger. Other items must be in good shape, and in useable sizes. For example, pipe must be at least 5' in length. Plywood and sheetrock must be at least 1/2 sheets; lumber in full lengths, carpet unstained and no shag carpet. Appliances must be 10 years old or less, must have their final cleaning and be in 100% Guaranteed working order with no missing parts. We accept dishwashers & HVACs 5 years old or younger, clean and in 100% Guaranteed working order. We accept 75 gallon or smaller hot water tanks 3 years old or younger.  Please include owners manuals if you have them, as they add value to your donation. We also accept guaranteed working microwaves, toaster ovens, coffee pots & irons that are 5 years or younger. We reserve the right to refuse any appliance if they are not in very good condition.
We accept gently used and new siding and shutters. We accept full and1/2 sheets of plywood. We accept full lengths of lumber. We will accept trim in smaller pieces, but not less than 4 feet long. Please, no rot or nails sticking out of lumber.
We will take cabinets in complete units. They must have doors, shelving, display racks, etc.
We will take some individual cabinets as needed. Corner cabinets and Lazy Susans only will not be accepted.
We will accept some individual counter tops as needed.
We accept exterior and interior doors if they are in GOOD condition only. They must not have holes, cracks, rot, etc.  We are again accepting 6' Patio sliding doors. We cannot accept 8' sliding doors at this time. Windows in the doors may not have any moisture nor foggy appearance. We are not accepting used bifold doors at this time.
We accept electrical parts, wire, plugs, plates and the hardware associated with electrical wiring.
We accept guaranteed working TVs(not consoles), DVD players, VCRs & Laptops. We will accept large flat screen TVs if they are delivered.We DO NOT accept Desktop Computers.
We accept guaranteed working ceiling, floor and  window fans if they are complete.
We accept window air conditioners & HVACs 5 years old or younger.
We DO NOT accept shag carpet, but will accept (inspected)carpeting, rolled not folded if it DOES NOT have stains or worn areas. Carpet must be in one complete roll and not cut in small pieces. We will accept vinyl flooring, but NO SCRAPS, PLEASE!! We will accept new tile of same color to complete a minimum  10X10 area.
We accept gently used furniture and are in need of bureaus of all sizes. Sofas must have firm springs ( no tears or stains). We will not accept sofas or chairs that have been used by cats or dogs. We will accept one piece china cabinets if they are delivered.
We do not accept used mattresses or box springs. We will accept desks in the near future.
We accept hardware for doors, cabinets, etc. Almost all types if it's not rusty.
We accept cabinet door knobs.
We accept all light fixtures in working condition. No ballasts with pcb's.
We are not accepting used mini blinds at this time.
'Framed'  mirrors only. We do not accept any glass.
We will again accept full containers of latex paint purchased from a paint store in March, 2011 only. We cannot take toxic, hazardous substances, (i.e. pesticides, powders, paint thinners, or other chemicals). Wallpaper is accepted in full, unopened rolls.
We accept 4' and over of any type of pipe, and all supplies and fittings.
We accept tubs, shower stalls and  sinks  in good condition and clean. We accept NEW commodes only that  are the low flush (1.6 gallon) type. We do not accept used shower doors.
We accept  roofing material such as rolled roofing material, tar, metal roofing and  new shingles (minimum is groups of 5 Bundles of same color and fully wrapped).
We accept all hand and power tools in working condition.
We accept garden tools.
We accept DOUBLE HUNG windows if the glass is intact. We accept casement windows and we appreciate having the hardware and cranks. We do not accept porch windows. No window sashes are accepted. We do not accept individual screens. Windows may not have trapped moisture nor foggy appearance.
