Change the World While Changing your Life

AmeriCorps service is your opportunity to make a difference in your life and in the lives of those around you.  Habitat AmeriCorps are paid to serve full or part-time helping families build strong and stable homes, while gaining real-world experience.

AmeriCorps members serve in leadership roles on active build sites, in our affiliate office assisting families, volunteers, and staff, or in one of our tow Sussex County ReStore locations.

READY FOR A NEW CHALLENGE?  Get ready to apply your skills and ideals toward helping others while gaining real-world experience and seeing first-hand the results of your service.  A desire to serve is the most important qualification; all AmeriCorps roles include training.

Resolution: Where Will You Go From Here?

The Habitat AmeriCorps Alumni Association (HAAA) mobilizes Habitat AmeriCorps alumni as hearts, hands, and voices to strengthen Habitat for Humanity’s societal impact and inspire action to end substandard housing. AmeriCorps Alumni go on to careers of service with Habitat for Humanity, state and local government agencies, non-profits of all types, educational institutions, and even in the arts. After their term of service is over, we send them on to do great things and they continue to get things done for America.

“Having the AmeriCorps and Habitat experience on my resume opened tons of opportunities for me that I don’t think I would have otherwise had. It opened my eyes to the needs of so many and it changed me forever. I am committed to a career in service now, really a lifetime of service to others.”
