New Volunteers
We build weekly Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. No construction experience is required, just a desire to help and the ability to cheerfully take direction. Our build sites are led by professional site supervisors and AmeriCorps service members who train and lead volunteers in the daily tasks.
Construction volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Those under 18 who would like to volunteer need to be approved by the Volunteer Services Manager 10 business days in advance and they must also have a parent or legal guardian read and sign the required minor volunteer waiver. Group Build Day
Sussex County Habitat invites businesses, community organizations, schools, and church groups to work with us to achieve our mission of building homes, communities and hope. Group builds (for one day or multiple days) provide a fun and engaging shared experience that benefits your team well beyond the build site.
